PlatinumGames plans to maintain self-publishing and projects with partners - developer hopes - Video Peeling news, instructions, exemplary procedures, reviews and culture
The developer hopes to find a balance between two worlds.
The Japanese developer PlatinumGames are expected to expect great changes. The company was founded after an exodus of Capcom and has since made a name for action titles since its founding has been a damn good employee studio. You are now making courageous steps to enter the unsafe world of self-publishing. You have already presented your first big project in this league. However, you have several work-for-hire titles at other publishers. You can expect you to leave the latter leaving, but it seems that you want to make a kind of balance.
In an interview with dual stools on the PAX East 2020, Studio Head Atsushi Inaba talked about the balance between the two different areas of publishing. Inaba said that she "will not forget her collaboration" with its various partners from the past, such as Nintendo, with which you are currently working together bayonetta 3 with the attempt to "keep both in motion".
It is very useful that Platinum spans this line, considering that there are currently some key projects with partners running. Whether the studio goes into full freedom or not, we just have to wait. Your next title will be announced soon and will seem to bring us to the mind, so good luck for you.
