If you enjoyed the recent Hit Hades, you may want to consult Dreamscape, which is officially released after nearly one year of early access. Dreamscape is a magnificent roguelite of isometric action where you have to both interact with the real world during the day and fight your nightmares in your dreams during the night.
The DreamScaper Awakening / Dream Unique Game Loop allows a committing upgrade / fighting cycle as well as a narrative experience through similar relations to Persona or Hades. During the day, the main character, Cassidy, can explore the city of Redhaven, establish relationships with its inhabitants, unlock history and get permanent improvements. During the night, Cassidy fights nightscaping enemies and bosses that represent his negative emotions in the typical Roguelite dungeon exploration experience. There are also various puzzles to solve and secrets to discover in a total of six different dream regions.
Dreamscape has a parade and dodging fluid combat system. Your character can equip a melee weapon, a remote weapon, a shield, objects and capabilities. With twenty weapons of melee alone and more than ten weapons remotely, there will definitely be a wide variety of your shopping. In addition, as this game takes place in a dream, weapons and abilities are exactly as you can imagine - finger guns, yo-yo, a stopping power, and more. There are slight and heavy combos unique for each weapon that rely on the timing of blows to maximize damage, I-frame dodge and synchronization blocks for tackling attacks.
To date, Dreamscape has more than 800 reviews and a 93% positivity note on Steam. He comes out on Steam, Epic Games and Nintendo Switch. No release date on Console has yet been announced.
